ARABOSAI's participation in the Fifth Regional Workshop on Voluntary National Reviews in the Arab Region

Within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between ESCWA and ARABOSAI, and the agreed action plan in particular the Activity 3.a of the plan, the Arab Organization will participate, on 20 and 21 October 2021, in the Fifth Regional Workshop on Voluntary National Reviews in the Arab Region, which is organized By the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). The fifth session of the workshop is devoted to “Strengthening Accountability: SAIs and Their Role in the Voluntary National Review Process.” This session aims at exhibiting the contribution of Arab SAIs to achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda in the region.

The Secretary-General of the ARABOSAI will open the session, then Mr. Mohammed Al-Jabri, member of the Auditing  SDGs Committee representing the State Financial and Administrative Control Authority in the Sultanate of Oman, will present the role of Arab SAIs in this Audit. Mr. Ali Al-Hazeem (main auditor in the State Audit Bureau of the State of Kuwait), Dr. Ali Khudair Samir (Director of Studies Department at the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau in the Republic of Iraq) and Mr. Assem Lutfi Luqa (Head of Sector at the Central Auditing Organization of the Arab Republic of Egypt) will present the success stories of their SAIs in the field.
